Setup and basics
Answer in brief
Start here if you are new to AI interview copilots. These entries explain how a copilot hears a question and builds a suggestion, how to choose between a desktop app, a browser and a phone, and what to test before the real call.
What this hub covers
Most problems people have with a copilot are not about the AI. They are about setup: the copilot cannot hear the interviewer, the answer window shows up on a shared screen, or the suggestions are too long to read while someone is waiting for an answer. The entries in this hub deal with those problems first.
Read how a copilot works to understand what it can and cannot do. Then pick a setup with the desktop, browser or phone comparison, and run through the setup checklist a day or two before your interview.
Before you start
- Check the employer's rules on AI help. They differ, and if AI help is banned, do not use a copilot.
- Know which computer and meeting app you will use. That decides most of your setup.
- Have your resume and the job description ready. A copilot that knows your background gives far better suggestions.
