What OphyAI does

OphyAI is an AI interview copilot and interview practice product for job seekers. Its main tool, Interview Copilot, listens to a live interview, writes a live transcript, estimates what kind of question was asked, and streams a suggested answer structure with talking points drawn from your resume and the job description. You then answer in your own words. It works in 35 languages, for listening to questions and for writing suggestions.

Before a session you add the job, the company, the job description and your resume, and OphyAI can build a prep brief: common questions, notes on the company, advice for the interview type and talking points. After a session you can look back over the questions and answers.

The same account includes AI mock interviews (Interview Practice), Coding Practice, a resume builder, cover letters and other application documents, job search and a free application tracker.

Modes and session types

• Interview Copilot (Pro and Premium): live help on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex and phone interviews. 15 credits a Standard or Technical session, 25 Advanced. Sessions run up to 2 hours.
• Coding Interview (Premium): reads the coding problem on your screen with one hotkey in the desktop app, or works from a screenshot or a code file, and returns an approach, complexity notes and working code. 15 credits a session.
• System Design (Premium): a Live Copilot that listens to the interviewer and reads your whiteboard from a shared tab or window, plus mock rounds on a built-in whiteboard with a scorecard. 30 credits live, 20 a mock round.
• One-way Interview (Premium): for recorded video interviews on HireVue and Spark Hire style platforms. It reads each written question as it appears and suggests a short answer to say. 15 credits, 25 Advanced.
• Customer Service (Premium): live help and practice tests for customer service assessments. 15 credits live, 5 a practice test.
• Aptitude Test (Premium, desktop app): reads multiple-choice questions on your screen. 15 credits a test.
• Interview Practice (every plan): voice or text mock interviews with follow-up questions and feedback on every answer.

In the phone app, a Copilot session can be set up as a general interview, technical interview, case study, phone interview, system design or live coding session. You can set the response length (short, medium or long) and complexity (simple, medium or advanced). The app suggests starting on short and simple, because short answers are easier to read during a live call.

Honest limits

• Credits, not unlimited use. Pro's 300 credits cover about 20 Standard Copilot sessions, fewer if you also use practice or resume tools.
• A short free trial. Only the first Copilot session is free, for up to 15 minutes, for eligible new users. The Free plan's practice session is also capped at 15 minutes.
• Premium for technical and test modes. Coding, system design, one-way video, customer service and aptitude test help all need Premium at $59 a month.
• Refunds. No money-back guarantee on monthly plans. First-time quarterly and yearly plans get 3 days (72 hours).
• Browser screen sharing. The floating answer window can show on a full-screen share.
• Cameras and proctors. No window hides from a webcam pointed at your screen, a person in the room, or proctoring software that inspects running apps.
• Cell phone calls. The desktop app hears what plays through your computer, so it cannot hear a call on your cell phone.
• The phone app listens, it does not look. The call has to play out loud from your laptop, and the app hears the interviewer but cannot see your screen.
• Not every tool is on the phone. System Design, Customer Service and Coding Practice are not in the phone apps.
• Quality varies. Accuracy and timing depend on audio quality, accent, phrasing, your connection and the AI model.

Rules and good use

Employers' rules on AI help differ, and so do the rules for schools and online tests. Check them for each interview, and ask the recruiter if you are unsure. If AI help is banned, do not use OphyAI in that interview. OphyAI's own guidance is to use the suggested structure as a prompt, keep your examples truthful, and stay focused on the interviewer.
