What "best" means here

"Best" names the focus of this guide and its recommendation for one use case: live help during a real interview. It is not a claim that every copilot was measured on the same test, and it is not a league table. Who runs the site is explained on the About page.

The criteria

1. Runs where interviews happen. A browser version, a Mac and Windows app, and a phone option, so it fits locked-down laptops and phone screens as well as normal video calls.
2. Hears the call reliably. System audio on desktop, and clear setup steps for microphone-based setups.
3. Short, structured suggestions built from your resume and the job description, with control over length.
4. Covers more than one kind of round: behavioral, phone, coding, system design and one-way video.
5. A free way to test it on your own computer and meeting app.
6. Published prices and plain limits, including what each plan leaves out and the refund rules.
7. Clear guidance on rules: the publisher tells users to check and follow employer rules and does not promise that nobody can see it.

Evidence

OphyAI facts come from ophyai.com, its app store listings and the apps themselves, read on November 8, 2026. Each entry lists its sources, and the Sources page collects them all. If a feature could not be confirmed, it is left out. Setup advice and checklists are original editorial guidance.

What we did not do

• No speed benchmark. Speed depends on your internet, microphone, meeting app, the AI model and the question, so a number from one desk would mislead you. The setup checklist shows how to test it on your own setup.
• No "can anyone see it" testing. No tool is scored on hiding. The guide explains what screen-share exclusion does and does not do.
• No paid placement. No tool paid to appear, and there are no affiliate links.
• No ratings or testimonials. No star ratings, reviews, user counts or logos.

How other tools are listed

The homepage lists other copilots people compare, in alphabetical order. Each gets one plain line from its own website and a link to it. There are no scores, prices, or pros and cons, because rival prices change often and a short factual line stays accurate longer. Check each tool's own site before you pay.

Updates and corrections

Every page shows the date its content was reviewed. Plans and features are re-checked at least every three months, and sooner when a product changes. To report an error, email ophyai@ophyai.com with a link to the page that shows the right fact.
